Alzheimer’s Support has provided practical services to people affected by dementia in Wiltshire for more than 30 years. It supports people living with all types of dementia through its award-winning Home Support, much-loved day clubs and a network of more than 40 community groups including singing, art, exercise groups, outdoors nature groups and memory cafes. Its dementia advisers provide ongoing information and support to people living with this ever changing illness, and the charity also runs carers groups and training for husbands, wives and other family members who find themselves in a caring role. It supports more than 2,500 people in Wiltshire every year and relies on fundraising to keep going.
Blake Envelopes have donated £500 to Alzheimers Support, which will help to fund their dementia centre in Salisbury. This charity was nominated by Rachel Smith.
Stephany Bardzil at Alzheimers Support said:
“The charity is currently fundraising to open a dementia centre in Salisbury including purpose designed day club and information hub for the city. The generous donation from Blakes Envelopes will go toward this appeal and help provide a greatly needed resource that will make all the difference for so many people affected by dementia in South Wiltshire. Thank you so much to Rachel Smith and to everyone at Blakes Envelopes for thinking of us.”
