Willow Banks Forest School

Blake Envelopes have donated £500 to Willow Banks Forest School. The staff here are very passionate about learning through nature, to bring enthusiasm into their lessons. They have adapted an inspiring approach to learning that celebrates both success and failure, creating an environment that empowers every student.

At Willow Banks Forest School, they offer bespoke courses that are designed to meet different needs for every individual, group of organisation that visits. They provide:

• Therapeutic interventions
• Primary and secondary provision
• Curriculum enrichment
• Holiday clubs
• Specialised workshops for children and adults

Our Key Accounts Manager, Georgi Moore, nominated Willow Banks Forest School to receive a £500 donation. Georgi says:

“I would love to nominate them because over the past couple of years they really struggled, aside from Covid and the financial strain that put on the company they have had to move premises due to no fault of their own and basically start over in a new building not equipped for people with disabilities. Willow Banks would massively benefit from the support Blake could offer them for small things such as wheelchair ramps and other facilities that would make the business more user friendly for its occupants.” 

The students at Willow Banks have decided to put half the money towards the classroom and half towards a polytunnel and plants. They are hoping to start their own enterprise growing lots of plants, to then sell them in the summer, so that they can generate more income for resources.
